Welcome
As a native of Delaware, and as a resident of southern Delaware, my paintings and photograghy feature many of the things I see around me, from the back bays and creeks, to the ocean and the boardwalks. I am inspired by the colors of the seasons, awed by the beauty of the sky, and captivated by the lines and structures created by both humans and nature.
As a theater person, I am also attracted to human connection and relationship. When I venture into figurative work, I look for gestures and motion that indicate relationships and conversations. I am fascinated by public groups, displays of emotion, and familiar bonds.
I am a self taught artist, still looking for that thing that excites me most. I have been painting for 5 years and started doing digital art within that same time frame. I dabble in many different subject matters and several different styles. I have a background in computer work, 15 years as a computer drafstman, that informs my compositions, my subjects and my digital style. As a painter, I've mostly painted realistic landscapes, but have also pushed myself into some abstract figurative work. I hope to continue exploring different styles, mediums and subject matters.
Check back and see where I may have gone recently. My drafting background is pulling me towards glass mosaics and stained glass, and I am looking forward to exploring that this year.
